About two sizes…

Hey folks!  Dave and I had a pretty busy and productive weekend.  It felt good to get out of the house and stay busy…especially since we’ve had some lazy ones lately.

Friday afternoon was dedicated to the maternity portraits.  We were there for about two hours (which has to be a record since photoshoots with Angela tend to be lots of “Let’s try this!” and “This is the coolest chair ever.  I want to use it in a photo!”).  I was exhausted by the end of it!  I can’t wait to see how they turn out.  I think about 90% of them won’t make it to the blog though.  There was lots of skin to be seen and let’s be honest, you guys don’t want to know me like that!

Saturday afternoon was dedicated to Latrice’s bridal shower for me (and lots of car washing for Dave).  The shower was a wine tasting at the Chatham Hill Winery in Morrisville, and even though I didn’t get any wine, it was still a lot of fun!

Here are a few pics from the afternoon:

That evening was dedicated to Monte and Megan’s engagement party in Raleigh.  It’s always nice to see Dave’s family since everybody lives so far apart, and there’s always a good time guaranteed when they’re around.

I’m not sure what that turtle did to deserve that…

On Sunday Dave and I were out and about doing nothing in particular.  We went to Sam’s and bought a new rug for the living room.  It actually matches a rug that I bought a while ago to go under the dining room table.  We snatched up the biggest one they had and it looks A TON better.  We also went to the grocery store, Lowe’s, Comp USA, and browsed around at a couple furniture places in search of a new couch.  After being out and about most of the day, we came home to spend the rest of the evening in jammies and attempting an Alton Brown recipe that was a horrible failure.  And not because we can’t cook, but because I’m pretty sure the logistics are impossible.  Seriously.

Anyways, that’s pretty much how we spent our weekend.  I managed to get zero laundry done, so maybe I’ll try to tackle that during the week.  Who knows.
