I created an email address for Elijah. And here’s where it gets weird…I’ve been emailing him. I want to email him while things are fresh in my mind. I’ve told him about his birth, his doctor visits (and how much he’s grown!), the cool/funny/new things he’s doing, etc. Sometimes I attach pictures.
I haven’t decided when I’ll tell him about it. Maybe when he’s 18, or getting married, or when the inbox fills up, or when he has his own baby. Who knows? But how cool will it be for him to go back in time and read my notes to him?
If anybody wants to send him an email, his address is:
elijah.b.ingram@gmail.com
I promise I won’t read them!
(P.S. How funny is this picture? It’s part of a photo shoot that Ma and I did at her house. You can’t see it in this one, but I totally have a sequence of pictures just like this but with a little stream of pee soaking the entire bookshelf. Hmmm…that seems like email material!)

Not sure what I love more…. the email idea or the photo
Both are AWESOME! Reminds me of this other idea I’d heard about… writing your kid a special card that you seal shut on every birthday or just whenever, then they get them and open them at 16 or 18. So sweet!
