Elijah was all smiles last night for his bath!

I’d like to say all that sugar was directed at me, but nooooo…Dave got all my smiles again!

Not once have I had super happy baby in the bath tub.  I usually get the sleepy baby that tolerates the bath and splish splashes a little bit to pass the time.  Jealous.

But I guess I can’t be too jealous when super happy baby is so stinkin’ cute!  Ahhh, heart flutters.

You see that ring of oil on the paper bag?  That means that I’m about to thoroughly enjoy the cookie that’s inside!

P.S.  Please note the bib accessories Elijah has been sporting lately.  They are not merely for fashion.  We have a miniature Niagara Falls in the house as of late.

Elijah has been giving Dave the biggest smiles lately!  I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty jealous.  In fact, when I’m holding him and Dave walks into the room, he immediately watches every move he makes and the biggest grin hits his face as soon as Dave faces him.

But I mean, I can’t really blame him.  Dave is a pretty silly guy.  Just check out Elijah’s view:

Have I mentioned that Picnik is my new best friend?

So I think I’m late to this train, but my new obsession as of late is the picnik.com photo editing site.   It’s pretty awesome for folks like me that freeze up at the sight of Photoshop.

Look at what I’ve made!

I mean, these aren’t crazy fancy or anything, but they literally take about 2 minutes to do.  And I think it’s a cool way to put together a sequence of photos like Elijah’s crazy faces.  I foresee many more of these in the blog’s future!

Our weekends are pretty boring nowadays.  To be honest, I can’t even remember if we left the house Friday or Saturday.  I’m pretty sure the day was spent playing with Elijah and catching up on housework.

I think Elijah grew a foot over the weekend.  Seriously.  That kid is growing way too fast.  And to the people that drop their mouths in disbelief when I tell them Elijah is only 3 1/2 months old, you can suck it.  I know…he’s a big boy.  97th percentile for height and weight big.  So again, suck it.

Sunday was J.R.’s 67th birthday, so we got together with lots of family to celebrate.  I didn’t anticipate seeing all those folks, so it was a nice surprise.  Elijah got tons of loving and was one pooped out baby by the time we got home.  Folks can’t resist a little boy in cute overalls.

And that, in a nutshell, was our weekend.  Now I’m at work…working…and counting down the hours until I get to go home and pinch those cheeks!  Oh, and pumping.  Don’t forget pumping.  That’s pretty much a part time job within my full time job.  Ugh.

So most of you guys know by now that Lauren and Dow FINALLY got engaged!  We’re super excited and ring bearer training for Elijah will be starting up soon (kidding)!

BUT what most of you guys haven’t seen is the bling bling.  I affectionately call it “the honker”.  You’ll see why.

See what I mean???  Dow did an awesome job!  Guess that kinda makes up for waiting over FOUR YEARS to pop the question!  LOL
